Saverne, France - KUHN GROUP., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has introduced the new GMD 9530 RV disc mower, equipped with a conveying auger grouper that enables mowing and swath delivery in a single pass, without requiring a conditioning system. This innovation is aimed at boosting productivity and reducing operational costs for large farms, contractors, and machinery cooperatives.
Featuring a working width of 9.10 to 9.50 meters when combined with a front-mounted unit, the GMD 9530 RV is designed for tractors around 200 hp. Its compact and lightweight design enhances maneuverability both in the field and during transport.
Built to perform in demanding conditions, the mower incorporates a cutter bar with separate drive via u-joint and gearbox, automatic cam-type cut-out clutch, and shear bolt protections. Hardox wear parts further reduce maintenance needs and extend service life.
Adaptability is a key feature of the GMD 9530 RV, with a mowing unit offset system that allows adjustment of swath width from 1.50 to 2 meters based on the type of fodder. Operators can also hydraulically raise the grouper rear hoods to enable wide spreading or direct swath placement on one or both sides, improving drying and simplifying collection.
The GMD 9530 RV also integrates several of Kuhn’s exclusive technologies, including the maintenance-free Optidisc Elite cutter bar with Fast-Fit quick knife system, delivering consistently high cut quality. Its oleo-pneumatic suspension system ensures excellent ground following, with adjustable ground pressure to suit various field conditions. Additionally, the Lift-Control system combines this suspension with non-stop safety: when an obstacle is encountered, the mower pivots rearward, reducing ground pressure to avoid damage, and automatically returns to its working position once clear.
With these features, the GMD 9530 RV is engineered to deliver efficient mowing, reduced costs, and reliable performance under tough conditions.
