SAVERNE, France - KUHN SAS., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has introduced the Kuhn GA 8131 CL rake, featuring a patented aerator pick-up that lifts and aerates forage not handled by the rotors. This creates airier and more homogeneous central windrow, improving forage quality. With an 8m working width, it is perfect for medium to large farms.
The GA 8131 CL twin-rotor rake is designed for both green fodder and dry products like alfalfa, featuring a patented 1.80m central lifter that aerates the central fodder for improved drying and forage quality. It offers automatic pick-up lifting and lowering during headland turns for ease of use. The deflector creates even windrows, and adjustable settings for pick-up speed and deflector position minimize leaf loss and ensure consistent work rate. With large vertical and angular travel ranges, the rake ensures excellent ground following.
The rotor attachment point is optimized to lower the rear of the rotor first, creating a jet effect for improved performance. The 3D articulation of the rotors and wheels closest to the tines ensures precise ground following and clean raking. With a large clearance under the rotors (ranging from 43 cm to 70 cm, depending on the working width adjustment), the rake preserves already-formed windrows. The Master Drive G III gearbox enables effective raking of dense and heavy fodder, while offering reliability and low maintenance.
