Saverne, France - KUHN FARM MACHINERY (UK) LTD., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has introduced the Rowliner cultivator and Tineliner weeder to celebrate the first anniversary of its mechanical weeding tools. Marking this milestone, the range expands with the new Starliner rotary hoe, designed for optimal performance and sustainable farming.
The Starliner rotary hoe is a cutting-edge mechanical weeding tool that excels in uprooting young weeds while promoting soil aeration and mineralization. Featuring rotating stars, it effortlessly breaks through soil crusts and crumbles the earth, making it an ideal choice for winter and spring crops like cereals, corn, and soybeans, as well as for no-till and direct-seeded fields. Equipped with pre-tensioned torsion springs, the stars function smoothly at working speeds of 12 to 25 kph, ensuring efficient operation and superior weed control, even in challenging soil conditions.
Individually suspended rotating stars ensure durability and optimal performance. Each star works independently for improved efficiency, while heavy-duty brackets withstand extreme loads for longevity. With a 10 cm star spacing and 1.8 cm wide spoons, they guarantee full surface coverage, effectively eliminating weeds.
The wear-resistant, spoon-shaped ends of the stars are designed to effectively break crusts and crumble the soil. Easily replaceable, these stars feature a rear-facing design that lifts the topsoil, uproots weeds, and allows them to fall gently to the ground. This process promotes the drying of the weeds and helps prevent regrowth, ensuring long-lasting weed control with minimal effort.
For optimal performance, torsion springs maintain constant pressure on the rotating stars, ensuring effective operation even in heavily encrusted soils. The STARLINER's aggressiveness is controlled by gauge wheel height and ground speed—the faster the speed, the more intense the action.
