Alpen, Germany - LEMKEN GmbH & Co. KG., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has expanded its portfolio of high-performance ploughing solutions with the introduction of the integrated FlexPack furrow press for the Diamant 18 semi-mounted plough. Designed to meet the demands of modern agriculture, especially in dry and stony soils, this innovation positions the 6- to 8-furrow Diamant 18 as the only single-wheel semi-mounted plough on the market that can be equipped with a factory-mounted furrow press as standard.
The integration of the FlexPack into the Diamant 18 enhances the plough’s capabilities, particularly in tough terrain and extreme conditions. To accommodate the new attachment in the in-furrow configuration, LEMKEN has repositioned the transport wheel behind the base frame. This modification not only enables the integration of the FlexPack but also improves weight distribution and tipping stability, especially at headlands.
The new wheel position ensures a lower centre of gravity, which reduces torsional loads, minimizes strain on the wheel arm, and delivers smooth transport performance. More importantly, it maintains a uniform working depth, even in undulating landscapes, allowing consistent tillage results regardless of the topography.
The FlexPack provides immediate soil reconsolidation, crucial in dry conditions to retain moisture and prevent erosion. It prepares a fine seedbed for better seed-to-soil contact and higher germination. Running parallel to the plough frame, it adapts to any working width without overlaps or gaps, ensuring consistent results.
