Germany, Europe - LEMKEN India Agro Equipment Private Limited., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has introduced the new Diamant 18, a robust semi-mounted reversible plough designed for professionals. The Diamant series has long been known for its reliability and performance in modern agriculture.
Semi-mounted reversible ploughs remain vital for large agricultural operations, excelling in both in-furrow and on-land ploughing, whether standalone or paired with a furrow press. To reaffirm the Diamant series' reputation for power and reliability, LEMKEN is unveiling the new Diamant 18 at EIMA in Bologna, targeting a broader audience with this innovative model.
Designed for large tractors up to 650 hp, the Diamant 18 features 5 to 8 furrows and a sturdy 180 x 180 x 12.5 mm box frame, excelling in extreme conditions. Its optimized design, including increased weight and a repositioned support wheel behind the base frame, ensures reliable soil penetration and consistent working depth, especially on dry soils.
The new wheel position on the Diamant 18 lowers the center of gravity, reducing rotational forces and strain on the rear lift. This enhances component protection, improves tipping stability, and ensures a smooth ride. Despite a longer wheelbase, the plough remains agile and easy to handle, thanks to an advanced steering system for the transport wheel.
The Diamant 18's hydraulic steering system automatically adjusts the transport wheel's angle during turns, allowing tight headland manoeuvres with a 90-degree headstock steering angle. For precise manoeuvring, the transport wheel can also be actively controlled and manually steered.
