Alpen, Germany - LEMKEN GmbH & Co. KG., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has launched its latest innovation in sowing technology with the introduction of the new Solitair PT drill combination, designed to deliver top-tier performance, efficiency, and seedbed precision for farmers and contractors working across diverse soil conditions.
At the core of the Solitair PT is a fully integrated Zirkon power harrow, developed to ensure optimal seedbed preparation. With four tine carriers per metre of working width and standard hydraulic depth adjustment, the harrow provides consistent crumbling and soil flow, regardless of ground conditions. Operators can fine-tune the working depth, rotor speed, and forward speed independently to suit both shallow, fast passes and deep, intensive tillage.
In terms of seeding capability, the Solitair PT is equipped with a robust, corrosion-resistant tank system. Customers can choose between a single 4,400-litre tank or a dual 5,100-litre tank with a 40:60 split. The modular metering system, supported by an integrated agitator shaft, ensures reliable and uniform seed or fertiliser distribution, even when dealing with varying material types.
LEMKEN’s Solitair PT features the proven OptiDisc coulter bar, available in M and H versions with up to 45 kg and 70 kg pressure respectively. The parallelogram-guided double disc coulters allow independent adjustment of sowing depth and pressure. A pre-running trapeze packer roller enhances seed-to-soil contact. For added practicality, a long drawbar ensures tight turns with wide tractors, while optional tools like tyre packers and wheel mark eradicators offer flexibility for varying field conditions.
