Las Vegas, USA – Liebherr Group., a construction equipment manufacturer, as introduced the LTM 1090-4.3 mobile crane, an upgraded version of its 90-tonne four-axle crane, featuring the new LICCON3 control system. The crane was presented at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 in Las Vegas.
The LTM 1090-4.3 replaces the previous LTM 1090-4.2 model and incorporates Liebherr’s latest crane control technology along with a refreshed design. The third-generation LICCON3 (Liebherr Computed Control) system introduces new software architecture, a faster data bus and increased computing performance while maintaining the familiar operating concept for operators.
The crane features a 60-metre telescopic boom, with improved lifting capacity particularly when extended and operating at steep angles, making it suitable for applications such as tower crane assembly.
The 4-axle crane can operate with 10-, 12- or 16-tonne axle loads, enabling flexible road transport. With a 12-tonne axle load, it can carry up to 8.8 tonnes of counterweight, allowing many lifting operations to be completed without transporting additional ballast.
The LTM 1090-4.3 also includes driver assistance systems such as the Blind Spot Information System (BSIS) and Moving Off Information System (MOIS) to enhance road safety. It is also prepared for RemoteDrive, enabling the crane to be manoeuvred using a radio remote control from outside the vehicle.
With the new LICCON3 control system and improved lifting performance, the LTM 1090-4.3 continues Liebherr’s focus on enhancing efficiency, safety and operational flexibility in its mobile crane range.
