Darien, Wisconsin - Ligchine International Corporation., a laser-guided concrete screed technology company, has introduced the LS120, an entry-level, laser-guided concrete boom screed designed specifically for small contractors working with a limited budget. Offering a cost-effective yet high-performance solution, the LS120 provides precision leveling while ensuring ease of use and maneuverability in tight spaces.

The LS120 is equipped with an 8-foot screed head and a 16-foot boom reach, making it ideal for smaller job sites where efficiency and accuracy are paramount. The unit features an operator platform with joystick controls for easy operation, complemented by a three-wheel steering system and proportional hydraulic drive for precise movement.

Equipped with Topcon’s LS-B200 2D laser leveling system, the LS120 ensures accurate grade, slope, and dual-slope control, allowing contractors to level the concrete with pinpoint precision. For more advanced needs, the LS120 can be upgraded with Topcon’s 3D LPS for complex, contoured concrete paving projects.

The LS120 is compact and portable, able to be transported using a ¾-ton pickup and trailer. The LS120 features an 8-foot screed head, with a width of 6 feet 9 inches and a length of 16 feet 8 inches, standing at a height of 7 feet 2 inches. It covers 120 square feet per pass and is powered by a 24.9-horsepower, fuel-injected V-Twin gasoline Honda IGX800 engine. The unit weighs 5,000 pounds, offering a balance of power and portability for efficient concrete screeding.

One of the unique features of the LS120 is its ability to level off the wheels instead of stabilizers, providing more flexibility and control. The screed can be boomed out and operated just like a traditional machine, with the added benefit of being able to drive and screed parallel to the pour. It also offers versatile movement, capable of screeding left or right, as well as forward or backward.
