Link-Belt Excavators Launches X4S Series Long-Front Machines

Lexington, Kentucky - Link-Belt Excavators (LBX)., a subsidiary of Sumitomo Heavy Industries and a heavy construction equipment manufacturer, has introduced its new X4S series long-front machines, including the 220, 260, and 370 models. Designed for enhanced efficiency, usability, and versatility, these excavators offer extended reach and precision for specialized tasks, incorporating customer feedback and advanced technology.

The X4S series is designed to handle demanding tasks such as ditch cleaning, slope finishing, waterway maintenance, and deep excavation. The long-front machines excel in tasks that require extended reach, with the 220 X4S reaching 50 feet 10 inches, the 260 X4S extending up to 59 feet 9 inches, and the 370 X4S offering the greatest reach at 60 feet 10 inches. These models are ideal for specialized jobs, including cleaning sediment from ponds and lakes, maintaining steep slopes, and excavating deep foundations for high-rise buildings.

The X4S series prioritizes operator comfort and safety with a spacious cab, high-back heated seat, and a 10-inch anti-glare LCD monitor for clear visibility. The proprietary WAVES system enhances job site awareness. Additionally, the long-front models feature factory-welded brackets and pre-installed connectors for easier and quicker integration of grade control technology.

The X4S series features an advanced hydraulic system with Spool Stroke Control (SSC) technology, optimizing performance and reducing energy consumption. Powered by the Isuzu Tier 4 Final engine, it improves fuel efficiency by up to 7%, eliminating the need for a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). The 220, 260, and 370 X4S Long Front excavators offer selectable power modes - Speed Priority, Power, Eco, and Lift, enabling operators to adjust performance for different tasks.
