Lexington, Kentucky – Link-Belt Cranes., a cranes manufacturer, has expanded its lattice crawler crane lineup with the launch of the next-generation 248|V, a 200-ton model built on its proven 248 platform.
The crane offers boom lengths from 55 to 282 ft and fixed jib lengths from 30 to 100 ft. It includes a 20-ft heavy-duty combo top, power pack mounting lugs for pile-driving applications, and quick-reeve wire rope terminators for faster rigging.
The 248|V also features a newly engineered 25-ft base section, a 48-ton-capacity luffer with lengths from 85 to 185 ft, and improved self-assembly features for easier transport and setup.
Operator-focused upgrades include a swing boundary system, hydraulic upper counterweight removal, and the HSL-2 Load Moment Limiter with a 12-inch touchscreen. The system provides real-time data such as wind speed, trim, list, and ground bearing pressure.
With improved lifting flexibility, faster setup, and advanced operator technology, the Link-Belt 248|V is designed for heavy lifting, pile driving, and demanding infrastructure applications.
