Saint-Jérôme, North America- Lion Electric Co., a commercial vehicle manufacture, at the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo, they unveiled the Lion8 Truck, an all-electric Class 8 commercial truck.
The Lion8 Truck, available mid-2024, leads the EV truck sector with a top GCWR of 127,000 lbs. Engineered for unmatched performance and efficiency, it features a 630-kWh battery offering a 275-mile range and can charge to 80% in about 1.5 hours, combining power and endurance for maximum productivity. Its 6x4 axle with 2-speed eAxles optimizes power distribution and efficiency. The cab-forward design enhances driver visibility and manoeuvrability, setting a new benchmark for electric freight transportation. The Lion8 Truck combines power and intelligence with a 750V battery system, V2G compatibility, ADAS, and an onboard weighing system, enhancing safety and operational efficiency.
