Guangxi, China - LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd. (LiuGong)., a construction equipment manufacturer has expanded its electric construction equipment portfolio in North America with the launch of the new 820TE compact wheel loader.
The 7.5-ton machine joins the company’s 856HE electric wheel loader and 924FE electric excavator, with more battery-powered models planned for 2027.
The 820TE weighs around 15,653 pounds and is powered by a 70.5 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery. Its electric motor delivers the equivalent of 67.1 horsepower, while operating time is rated at around eight to 10 hours depending on application.
Fast charging allows the battery to charge from 15% to 95% in about 60 to 90 minutes.
The loader features LiuGong’s electric transmission system, which eliminates the conventional torque converter to improve efficiency, reduce noise and provide smoother power delivery.
It can operate with attachments such as buckets, pallet forks and grapples, making it suitable for urban construction, material handling, agriculture and indoor applications.
The compact design, articulated steering and tight turning radius improve manoeuvrability in confined spaces. A pressurised cab and full LCD display are also provided for improved operator comfort and machine monitoring.
The standard arm offers a dump height of 8 feet 7 inches, while an optional high-lift arm increases this to 9 feet 3 inches.
