ABC Supply chose the Mack MD Electric as their first electric vehicle due to their strong partnership with Mack and Kriete Truck Centers
Date: August 16, 2024Greensboro, United State- Mack Trucks, Inc. is an American truck manufacturer, and Kriete Truck Centers, a commercial truck and equipment dealer, recently Delivered the first Mack MD Electric vehicle to ABC Supply Co., Inc. at their National Fleet Center in Beloit, Wisconsin marking the debut of electric medium-duty trucks in their fleet.

ABC Supply is North America’s wholesale distributor of roofing and other select exterior and interior building products. The company chose to order an MD Electric vehicle to test the integration of electric trucks into their operations and stay at the forefront of technological advancements to meet customers’ evolving needs and expectations.

ABC Supply chose the Mack MD Electric as their first electric vehicle due to their strong partnership with Mack and Kriete Truck Centers, who will handle servicing. The MD Electric, known for its reliability and advanced technology, will be tested across multiple locations in ABC Supply's North American network, transporting roofing and building supplies, and will be charged at various branch locations.

The Mack MD Electric, designed for medium-duty use, maintains the reliability and durability of Mack trucks. Built at the Roanoke Valley Operations in Salem, Virginia, it comes in Class 6 (25,995 lbs GVWR) and Class 7 (33,000 lbs GVWR) models, both exempt from the 12% Federal Excise Tax. It features a 260-hp Permanent Magnet Synchronous motor and 240kWh NMC Oxide lithium-ion batteries. With a 103-inch bumper-to-back-of-cab measurement, it combines the bold styling of the Mack Anthem® with a sharp wheel cut for better urban maneuverability. Supported by Mack Certified Electric Vehicle dealers, the MD Electric suits various trucking applications and doesn’t require a CDL for non-hazardous payloads.
