Mumbai ,India -Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd., announced the appointment of Vimal Agarwal as Group Chief Internal Auditor. The company said Agarwal will also join the group’s Senior Management Personnel, reflecting Mahindra’s focus on governance, risk management and internal controls.
Agarwal will succeed K N Vaidyanathan, who will retire after serving the Mahindra Group for more than 14 years. Vaidyanathan held the position of Executive Vice-President and Group Chief Internal Auditor.

Agarwal currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd., where he has been leading financial planning, investor relations and business performance initiatives over the past two years.
Before joining Mahindra Holidays, Agarwal worked as Chief Financial Officer at Mahindra Life spaces Developers Ltd.. During his tenure, he handled fundraising activities, digital transformation initiatives and private equity partnerships while supporting the company’s growth strategy.
The Group Chief Internal Auditor role oversees internal controls, compliance, financial reporting and enterprise risk management across Mahindra’s businesses, which span automotive, farm equipment, hospitality, financial services, renewable energy and real estate.
The company said the appointment highlights Mahindra’s continued emphasis on governance, transparency and effective risk management across its businesses.
