Mahindra has launched the Thar ROXX STAR EDN

Mumbai- Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., a SUV manufacturer, has announced the launch of the Thar ROXX STAR EDN, an aesthetically enhanced and feature-packed addition to the Thar ROXX range. Designed for customers seeking a more exclusive and premium expression of the iconic SUV, the STAR EDN blends Thar’s legendary capability with bespoke design elements across both the exterior and the cabin.

The Thar ROXX STAR EDN stands out with a distinctive premium styling package. Key highlights include all-black leatherette seats with suede accents that elevate cabin ambience, a sleek piano-black front grille that adds sophistication to the bold fascia, and piano-black alloy wheels that further enhance its commanding road presence. The model introduces a striking new hero colour, Citrine Yellow, while also being available in Tango Red, Everest White, and Stealth Black.

Under the hood, the Thar ROXX STAR EDN continues with proven powertrain options. Customers can choose between the 2.0-litre G20 TGDi mStallion petrol engine, delivering 130 kW at 5,000 r/min and 380 Nm of torque, and the D22 mHawk diesel engine, producing 128.6 kW at 3,500 r/min and 400 Nm of torque. All three variants are offered with a rear-wheel-drive configuration, ensuring versatile performance across a wide range of driving conditions.

The STAR EDN further elevates comfort and convenience with features such as front ventilated seats, a sliding armrest, 60:40 split rear seats with multipoint recline, fully automatic temperature control, electric-fold ORVMs, steering-mounted controls, cruise control, and tyre direction monitoring. These additions enhance everyday usability while maintaining the rugged character associated with the Thar nameplate.

Technology is a key focus area for the Thar ROXX STAR EDN. It features a 26.03 cm HD touchscreen infotainment system paired with a 26.03 cm HD digital instrument cluster, Adrenox connected-car technology with Alexa built-in and 83 connected features, Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™ (wired and wireless), a surround-view camera, and a 9-speaker Harman Kardon™ QuantumLogic premium audio system. Convenience is further enhanced with approach unlock and walk-away lock functionality.

Built on Mahindra’s M_GLYDE body-on-frame platform, the Thar ROXX STAR EDN delivers spirited performance and off-road capability through Gen II Adventure Statistics, XPLOR selectable terrain modes (Snow, Sand, and Mud), and a brake-locking differential. These features reinforce its positioning as a lifestyle SUV that is equally capable on highways and challenging terrains.

Safety remains a core strength of the Thar ROXX STAR EDN. The SUV is engineered for a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating and comes equipped with six airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors, rear parking camera, auto-dimming IRVM, impact-sensing auto door unlock, immobilizer, and E-call and SOS functionality.
