Mahindra & Kubota Tractors Feb 2025 Sales Report

Mumbai - Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., Farm Equipment Sector (FES), a farming equipment manufacturer has reported tractor sales for February 2025. 

In February 2025, Mahindra FES sold a total of 25,527 tractors, including exports, reflecting an 18% increase from 21,672 units in February 2024. Exports reached 1,647 units, up 6% from 1,551 units in the same month last year.

The export market saw a remarkable 25% growth. Export sales reached 15,195 units, up from 12,112 in February 2024. Overall, Mahindra sold 3,89,707 units in February 2025, an 11% increase from 3,52,362 units in the same month last year, highlighting strong export performance.

Mr. Hemant Sikka, President of Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “We have sold 23880 tractors in the domestic market during February 2025, a growth of 19% over last year. After a good Kharif crop, Rabi crop outlook is also looking positive due to favourable weather conditions. Increase in Agri credit limit, continued Government support to increase farmer incomes and a bumper Rabi harvest will help boost tractor demand going forward. In the exports market, we have sold 1647 tractors, at a growth of 6% over last year.”

Faridabad - Escorts Kubota Limited., a tractor manufacturer, has reported a tractor sales for February 2025, registering an 11.4% year-on-year growth. This marks a significant rebound from January, when the company faced a 6.7% decline in sales.

Escorts Kubota’s Agri Machinery Business Division sold 8,590 tractors in February 2025, up from 7,709 units in February 2024. Domestic tractor sales grew by 9.6%, reaching 7,968 units compared to 7,269 in February 2024. The company highlighted robust demand in its core markets, though the Western region experienced some pressure due to lower crop prices impacting liquidity.

Despite strong tractor sales, Escorts Kubota’s Construction Equipment Business Division saw a 16.3% decline in February 2025, selling 561 machines compared to 670 last year. This follows a 1.8% dip in January. The company attributed the slowdown to inventory adjustments and price hikes from the BS V transition but remains optimistic due to ongoing infrastructure investments.

For April-February FY25, tractor sales remained steady at 104,180 units (-0.3% YoY), while construction equipment sales dropped 8.4% to 5,870 units. Escorts Kubota, with eight decades of expertise, continues to leverage its diversified portfolio in agriculture, railway modernization, and construction equipment.
