Jaisalmer- Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., a SUV manufacturer, has launched the new XUV 3XO EV. Built to match the aspirations of modern urban buyers, the electric SUV is positioned as a well-rounded package that combines contemporary design, strong performance, high safety standards, and advanced technology—while keeping everyday ownership practical and economical.
Staying true to the XUV 3XO identity, the XUV 3XO EV carries a confident, instantly recognizable stance on the road. The cabin follows a modern, premium theme focused on comfort and convenience for daily commutes, making it a natural next step for customers looking for an EV suited to regular intra-city driving.
Mahindra noted that the XUV 3XO (launched in April 2024) set new benchmarks in the subcompact SUV segment and has recorded close to 1.8 lakh sales since launch. The XUV 3XO EV builds on that success, tailored for customers who want an electric SUV that fits smoothly into day-to-day routines without compromising on features or driving confidence.
Mr. Nalinikanth Gollagunta, Chief Executive Officer – Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said the XUV 3XO brought aspiration and accessibility together at scale, and the XUV 3XO EV extends the same winning proposition into electric mobility. He added that the vehicle has been engineered around real usage patterns to deliver reliable everyday performance, combining instant electric response with a package tuned for ease and confidence in city driving.
On space and comfort, the XUV 3XO EV offers a spacious cabin with features designed to enhance daily usability, including dual-zone AC, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, sunroof options, passive keyless entry, a 6-way adjustable driver seat, and 60:40 split rear seats, along with multiple convenience touches for both rows.
On performance and entertainment, Mahindra claims segment-leading acceleration with 0–100 km/h in 8.3 seconds, powered by 310 Nm torque and 110 kW output. The SUV features multiple drive modes Fun, Fast, and Fearless along with twin HD displays (infotainment and digital cluster) and a premium audio experience, including a Harman Kardon system with Dolby Atmos on higher variants.
On technology and safety, the XUV 3XO EV comes with Adrenox connected tech featuring 80+ functions such as remote controls, vehicle status monitoring, trip summaries, smartwatch connectivity, and support for in-car apps. Safety is strengthened with Level 2 ADAS features (variant dependent) such as adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, smart pilot assist, and automatic emergency braking, along with a 360-degree surround view system, and a strong base of standard safety equipment including 6 airbags, 4 disc brakes, and TPMS.
Mahindra is offering the XUV 3XO EV in multiple variants, including AX5 and AX7L. The AX5 focuses on core premium essentials such as alloy wheels, twin 10.25-inch screens, LED lighting, key convenience features, a strong safety package including ESP and 6 airbags, Adrenox connectivity, and the EV performance hardware with a 39.4 kWh battery pack, fast charging capability (0–80% in 50 minutes with a 50 kW DC charger), and suspension enhancements for city comfort.
The AX7L builds on the AX5 by adding a panoramic “Skyroof,” upgraded interior soft-touch and leatherette treatments, larger R17 alloys, additional convenience upgrades such as an auto-dimming IRVM and cooled glovebox, a higher-end 7-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos, and a comprehensive Level 2 ADAS suite along with 360-degree surround view and added parking assistance features positioning it as the more tech-forward and feature-rich choice in the lineup.
