Mahindra Launches ZEO Electric SCV

New Delhi- Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited., (MLMML) has officially launched the Mahindra ZEO, an innovative electric four-wheeler designed for urban logistics. The name "ZEO," which stands for "Zero Emission Option," reflects the vehicle's environmental benefits and aligns with MLMML's mission to electrify last-mile transportation. Available in two variants, the Mahindra ZEO is attractively priced starting at ₹ 7.5 lakh, ex-showroom, across India. Customers can save up to ₹ 7 lakh over seven years compared to a diesel small commercial vehicle.

The Mahindra ZEO is built on a high-voltage 300+ V architecture, ensuring superior energy efficiency, extended range, and faster charging. Its advanced Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor delivers 30 kW of power and 114 Nm of torque, powered by a 21.3 kWh liquid-cooled battery for impressive performance. With a top speed of 60 km/h, the ZEO enables quicker trips and increased earning potential. It also boasts a superior payload capacity of up to 765 kg, adapting to various business needs, while a larger 2250 mm cargo box enhances loading capacity.

The Mahindra ZEO offers a real-world driving range of 160 km, further enhanced by its regenerative braking system. It features two driving modes Eco and Power that optimize range and reduce turnaround times.

With a DC fast charger, the ZEO can achieve a 100 km range in just 60 minutes. Additionally, various charger configurations are available, including the standard on-board 3.3 kW unit.

A standout feature of the Mahindra ZEO is its impressive 32% gradeability, the highest in the <2-ton electric cargo segment, allowing it to easily tackle steep gradients. The vehicle includes a smart gear shifter for automatic transmission convenience and a Creep Function to reduce driver fatigue in stop-and-go traffic. With a low turning radius of 4.3 m, the ZEO offers excellent manoeuvrability on narrow roads.

The thoughtfully designed cabin features a dashboard-placed transmission dial for easy access, a type-C USB charging slot, and a lockable glovebox for added utility. A fully digital instrument console provides essential vehicle information right at eye level for the driver.

The Mahindra ZEO comes with the advanced NEMO telematics unit. Through the NEMO Driver or NEMO Fleet Management System apps, customers can access real-time data to optimise performance, and efficiency. In the latter, fleet managers can also check for fleet performance, geofence, service management and charge summary amongst other functions. In the Driver app, drivers can locate the nearest public charging hubs, nearest dealer, trip planner, service locator amongst a plethora of options.

The Mahindra ZEO offers exceptional performance backed by a reassuring seven-year or 1.5 lakh km battery warranty. To enhance the ownership experience, MLMML provides two plans under its Mahindra Safar service package. The standard Safar package includes roadside assistance, Express Service, and an Annual Maintenance Contract. The upgraded Safar Plus plan offers an extended vehicle warranty, Fleet-Connect, and additional benefits.

Safety is a top priority for Mahindra, and the Mahindra ZEO reflects this commitment. It features a Driver Monitoring System (DMS) with an AI-enabled camera and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), including Lane Departure Warning and Pedestrian Collision detection. The IP67-rated battery pack and motor meet the highest AIS038 safety standards. Additionally, Hill Hold Assist prevents rolling on inclines, while the 2500 mm wheelbase ensures stability in all conditions. With a 180 mm ground clearance, the ZEO can handle rough terrain, and its semi-forward cabin design and 5.6 m³ delivery van box securely enclose cargo.

With customer-centricity at its core, MLMML continues to offer the UDAY Program to those buying the Mahindra ZEO. This includes a ₹.10 Lakh accidental insurance cover for the driver for the first three years, demonstrating Mahindra’s commitment to wellbeing of its customers.
