Maharashtra - Mahindra Group., a tractor manufacturer, plans to establish its largest integrated manufacturing facility for automobiles and tractors in Nagpur, Maharashtra, during Advantage Vidarbha, a flagship event promoting the region as an industrial hub.
The facility will span 1,500 acres, supported by a 150-acre supplier park in Sambhajinagar. Once operational, it will produce over 5 lakh vehicles and 1 lakh tractors annually, making it Mahindra’s largest integrated manufacturing footprint in India. The supplier park will enhance logistics, localisation, and collaboration with Mahindra’s existing plants in Chakan and Nashik.
The automotive unit will support next-generation platforms like the NU_IQ architecture and manufacture vehicles across multiple powertrains, including ICE, EV, and future technologies, for domestic and global markets. The tractor unit will strengthen Mahindra’s leadership in farm equipment.
Mr. Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, said, “Mahindra’s investment will create jobs, boost regional development, and reinforce Maharashtra as a leading manufacturing hub.”
Mr. Rajesh Jejurikar, CEO, Auto and Farm Sector, Mahindra, said, “This integrated facility combines scale, flexibility, and advanced technology, supporting our vision of ‘Make in India for the World.’”
With this investment, Mahindra aims to shape the future of mobility and farm mechanisation while contributing to India’s industrial growth.
