Mumbai - Mahindra and Mahindra Limited, an automotive manufacture has launched the Thar Roxx 4x4 variants, with the starting price of Rs 18.79 lakh for the MX5 MT variant and Rs 22.49 lakh for the AX7 L AT variant. The 4x4 configuration is available only with the diesel engine, while the petrol variant is limited to a 4x2 setup.
Mahindra is offering the Thar Roxx 4x4 with a 2.2-liter diesel engine that generates 175 hp and 370 Nm of peak torque. The diesel 4x2 variants are powered by 152 hp and 330 Nm of torque. Additionally, the five-door SUV features Mahindra's '4XPLOR System,' which includes an electronic locking differential and multiple terrain modes: Snow, Sand, and Mud.
Additionally, the 4x4 variants equipped with features like 'Smart Crawl' and 'Intelliturn.' Smart Crawl is an off-road cruise control system that operates at speeds between 2.5 kph and 30 kph. Meanwhile, Intelliturn enables the Roxx to execute tight turns by locking the rear inner wheel according to the steering direction. This feature works at speeds below 15 kph and can be engaged for a maximum of 15 seconds.
The Thar Roxx is available with a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine that produces 162 hp and 330 Nm of torque when paired with the manual gearbox and 177 hp and 380 Nm with the automatic transmission. Both engine variants feature a 6-speed manual option, as well as an optional 6-speed torque converter automatic.
