Mumbai – Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.’s Farm Equipment Business (FEB), a part of the Mahindra Group, reported robust tractor sales for January 2026, driven by strong domestic demand and rising exports.
Mahindra sold a total of 40,643 tractors during the month, marking a 47% increase compared to 27,557 units sold in January last year. Domestic sales accounted for 38,484 units, up 46% from 26,305 units a year earlier. Meanwhile, exports rose sharply to 2,159 units, registering a 72% growth over 1,252 units sold in the same period last year.
For the period April 2025 to January 2026, Mahindra recorded total tractor sales of 447,235 units, reflecting a 23% increase from 364,180 units in the corresponding period last year. Domestic sales reached 430,374 units, also up 23% from 350,632 units, while exports grew 24% to 16,861 units compared to 13,548 units previously.
Mr. Veejay Nakra, President of Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, “We sold 38,484 tractors in the domestic market during January 2026, a growth of 46% over last year. Good reservoir levels supported robust Rabi sowing, and expected government support along with increased rural spending will help boost agriculture and farm mechanization in the coming months. In the export market, we sold 2,159 tractors, a growth of 72% over last year.”
