Mumbai - Mahindra & Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Business recorded total tractor sales of 29,507 units in August 2026, compared to 28,117 units in August 2025, registering a 5% year-on-year growth.
Domestic tractor sales stood at 27,595 units during August 2026, up from 26,201 units in the same month last year. This resulted in a 5% increase in domestic sales.
Exports remained nearly stable at 1,912 units in August 2026, compared to 1,916 units in August 2025.
Mahindra also reported strong cumulative tractor sales for FY27 till August 2026. Domestic sales reached 2,12,664 units, compared to 1,82,390 units during the corresponding period of FY26, reflecting a 17% growth.
Cumulative exports increased by 9% to 9,304 units, compared to 8,524 units in the same period last year. Total tractor sales for FY27 till August stood at 2,21,968 units, up 16% from 1,90,914 units recorded during the corresponding period of FY26.
Mr. Veejay Nakra, President – Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, “The company sold 27,595 tractors in the domestic market during August 2026, registering a growth of 5% over last year. The steady improvement in rainfall has supported near-normal Kharif sowing. Continued support from various government schemes and the upcoming festive season are also expected to strengthen rural sentiment. In the export market, Mahindra sold 1,912 tractors during the month.”
