Mumbai - Mahindra Tractors., a tractor manufacturer’s Skill Development has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Directorate of Agricultural Engineering, Government of Madhya Pradesh, marking an important step toward strengthening rural skill development and supporting the state’s expanding farm mechanization ecosystem.
As part of the collaboration, Mahindra will roll out Tractor and Harvester Technology training programmes at five Kaushal Vikas Kendras located in Bhopal, Sagar, Satna, Jabalpur, and Gwalior. This covers five of the six state-run skill development centres, ensuring wide geographical reach and access for rural youth across Madhya Pradesh.
The training will focus on hands-on, industry-relevant skills, including operation, maintenance, and basic diagnostics of tractors and harvesters. By aligning the curriculum with real-world industry requirements, the programme aims to bridge the skill gap and enhance employability in dealerships, service workshops, custom hiring centres, and farm equipment operations.
Through this initiative, Mahindra reinforces its long-term commitment to agricultural development, youth empowerment, and building a skilled workforce that can support modern, mechanized farming practices in India.
