Mumbai - Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.'s Farm Equipment Sector (FES)., has reported a robust 13% year-on-year growth in tractor sales for June 2025. The company sold 51,769 tractors in the domestic market, up from 45,888 units in June 2024. The performance reflects a strong rebound in rural demand, aided by favourable monsoon conditions and positive cash flow from Rabi crop harvesting.

Including exports, total tractor sales for the month stood at 53,392 units, compared to 47,319 units in June last year, maintaining the 13% overall growth trend. Exports raise to 1,623 units, also marking a 13% increase from 1,431 units in June 2024.

In terms of year-to-date (YTD) performance for FY2025, Mahindra recorded 1,29,199 units in domestic sales between April and June, up 10% from 1,16,930 units in the same period last year. Exports during this period also grew 8%, reaching 4,890 units, up from 4,537. Total tractor sales for YTD June 2025 amounted to 1,34,089 units, showing a 10% growth over 1,21,467 units sold in the same period last year.

Veejay Nakra, President of Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, “We have sold 51,769 tractors in the domestic market during June 2025, a growth of 13% over last year. With better long-term rainfall departures this month, land preparation activities are well supported for the upcoming Kharif season. Record foodgrain production, especially rice, wheat, and pulses, coupled with various Government initiatives to improve farmer income, are expected to augur well for tractor demand in the coming months. In the export market, we have sold 1,623 tractors, a growth of 13% over last year.”

With a healthy monsoon forecast and continuing rural infrastructure support, Mahindra expects demand momentum to remain strong in the upcoming months.
