Mumbai - Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., through its Farm Equipment Sector (FES), has reported impressive tractor sales for April 2025, achieving an 8% growth in the domestic market. The company sold 38,516 tractors in India, a notable increase from the 35,805 units sold in the same month last year, signaling a strong performance amid ongoing market challenges.

Mahindra’s overall tractor sales for April 2025, which include both domestic and export markets, reached a total of 40,054 units. This marks an 8% increase compared to 37,039 tractors sold in April 2024. Exports, in particular, saw significant growth, with Mahindra selling 1,538 units in April 2025, up 25% from the 1,234 units sold in April 2024. The sharp rise in export sales highlights the growing demand for Mahindra tractors in international markets, reinforcing the brand’s expanding global footprint.

Mr. Hemant Sikka, President of Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, said, “We have sold 38516 tractors in the domestic market during April 2025, a growth of 8% over last year. The harvest season is progressing very well and is expected to conclude shortly. Bolstered by the Chaitra Navratri festival in the first week of April, retail momentum is very strong. This is well supported by good crop prices and high procurement at Mandis, leading to good cash flows with farmers. IMD's prediction of above normal southwest monsoon is hugely positive for the overall Agri economy and tractor industry. Financing continues to remain strong. In the exports market we have sold 1538 tractors, a growth of 25% over last year.”

The company’s performance in the export market reflects the continued international demand for Mahindra tractors. With 1,538 tractors sold globally in April 2025, representing a 25% growth from the previous year, Mahindra has firmly established itself as a key player in the global agricultural machinery market. With its focused approach to strengthening dealer networks, driving retail sales, and managing costs effectively, Mahindra is poised to maintain its leadership in the agricultural machinery sector in the months ahead.

Mahindra remains optimistic about the agricultural sector's long-term outlook, with a positive monsoon forecast expected to boost tractor sales. The company’s focus on innovation and customer satisfaction strengthens its position in both domestic and global markets. With a solid track record and clear vision, Mahindra is well-positioned to navigate industry challenges and capitalize on growth opportunities.
