Mumbai - Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., a tractors manufacturer, has introduced its latest Groundnut Thresher, a tractor-powered machine designed to enhance efficiency and reduce manual labour in groundnut harvesting.
Developed to deliver accurate threshing and improved productivity, the new equipment efficiently separates groundnuts from their pods, helping farmers save time, reduce wastage, and achieve higher output. Its compact structure ensures ease of operation and greater flexibility during the harvesting period, while also improving tractor utilization.
The Groundnut Thresher features an advanced monitoring system that tracks grain quality and loss in real time, enabling operators to make timely adjustments and minimize field residue. It is particularly effective in regions where early cutting and delayed threshing are common.
Targeted at farmers in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh, the new model expands Mahindra’s extensive farm machinery portfolio. The company currently offers over 30 thresher models catering to various crops and regional requirements.
Mahindra first entered the thresher segment more than a decade ago with two models for paddy and wheat and has since diversified to 12 crop-specific and region-specific variants.
Dr. Anusha Kothandaraman, Vice President & Business Head – Farm Machinery & Precision Farming, Mahindra Farm Equipment Business, said, “At Mahindra, we have developed the new Groundnut Thresher by working closely with farmers to address the need for mechanized groundnut harvesting. With over 30 models in our thresher range, this addition strengthens our efforts to expand mechanization in Indian agriculture.”
The new Mahindra Groundnut Thresher will be available through Mahindra Farm Machinery outlets and select Mahindra Tractor dealerships across the key groundnut-growing states.
