Munich, Germany- MAN Truck & Bus SE., has handed over its first eTruck to the Duvenbeck Group, marking a milestone in freight transport electrification. The Ultra Low Liner eTGX, designed for automotive logistics, will support climate-friendly operations at Volkswagen plants. Duvenbeck plans to deploy up to 120 units of the eTGX by 2026 in the Rhine-Ruhr and BeNeLux regions for VW’s logistics.

Mr. Friedrich Baumann, Chief Sales & Customer Solutions Officer at MAN Truck & Bus. “With the Ultra Low Liner eTruck, MAN has developed a solution that is perfectly tailored to the requirements of the automotive industry. No other series-produced electric semitrailer tractor can pull trailers with an interior height of three meters. This makes it the ideal choice for transports with high volume requirements. We are delighted to have two strong partners at our side, Duvenbeck and Volkswagen, to bring this innovation to the road.”

Mr. Bernd Reining, Senior Director Procurement, Duvenbeck, said, Sustainability has been a central element of Duvenbeck's corporate strategy for years. With the “Green Logistics” initiative, the company focuses on low-emission and resource-saving transport solutions. “The MAN eTruck is an important step towards emission-free logistics. It helps us to meet our customers' requirements and protect the environment at the same time. Sustainability is part of our everyday practice.”

Duvenbeck is enhancing energy efficiency and resource conservation through measures like alternative drive systems and reduced empty runs. The use of the MAN eTruck is a key step in minimizing CO₂ emissions in the supply chain. Duvenbeck will use the eTruck for Volkswagen's logistics, supporting the company’s goTOzero impact program for climate-friendly logistics. Simon Motter, Head of Volkswagen Group Logistics, emphasized the importance of this project in proving the eTruck’s everyday use and cost-effectiveness, with electric trucks playing a crucial role in reducing CO₂ emissions in road transport.

The Ultra Low Liner eTruck MAN eTGX is a game-changer in automotive logistics, offering a range of 500 km with a semitrailer height of just 950 mm and customizable battery options. With modular battery packs and fast charging capabilities, it meets the needs of various transport tasks. MAN provides 360-degree eMobility Consulting to support the transition to electromobility, including charging infrastructure and digital services. TIP Group, a leader in commercial vehicle rentals, is deploying the eTruck for Duvenbeck, enabling flexible, sustainable logistics.
