      Milwaukee, United States- Manitowoc Company, Inc., a provider of lifting equipment for the construction industry, including lattice-boom crawler cranes, Lifting and crane services company, Mann Crane Hire Ltd., a leading crane and lifting services company based on the Isle of Man, has strengthened its fleet with the addition of a new Grove GMK3060L-1 all-terrain crane. This purchase marks the company’s first Grove acquisition in 20 years, and the crane is already booked for numerous projects.

      Mr. Chris Barnes, managing director at Mann Crane Hire, said, “We needed a compact and maneuverable crane that could efficiently travel across the whole island and work in smaller spaces as we work on a lot of tight locations. The GMK3060L-1 offers impressive dimensions and a class-leading boom, so it was exactly what we needed.

      Equipped with a comprehensive spec that includes the full jib and optional MAXbase outrigger positioning system, the Grove GMK3060L-1 is built for versatility. With a 60-tonne lifting capacity, the three-axle crane stands out for its blend of strength and reach. The model features a seven-section, 48-meter MEGAFORM boom, allowing for long-distance lifting and adaptable load management.

      The crane’s flexibility extends to both indoor and outdoor operations, with load charts that begin at a 0° boom angle. Its all-terrain capability also enables efficient movement across the island’s varied landscape. The crane’s transport efficiency is highlighted by its ability to carry its full 13.5-tonne counterweight on a 16.5-tonne axle or, if needed, travel with up to a 7.5-tonne counterweight on a 12-tonne-per-axle setup.
