Wisconsin, USA - The Manitowoc Company, Inc., a construction equipment manufacturer, has introduced the GHC200, its largest Grove telescopic crawler crane. With a 200-ton capacity and a main boom extendable from 185 to 265.7 feet, the GHC200 is built for heavy-duty lifting in challenging terrains like swamps and mountains, making it ideal for construction and renewable energy projects.

The Grove GHC200 offers a suite of advanced features that make it Manitowoc’s most capable telescopic crawler crane. Fully self-rigging, it can be transported to a jobsite in just six to seven loads, minimizing setup time and complexity. Its main boom extends to 185 feet and can be paired with a 71.5-foot manual or hydraulic swing-away extension, reaching a total height of 265.7 feet.

The crane delivers full 360-degree swing functionality and is capable of picking and carrying 100% of its load chart on slopes up to 4 degrees, making it ideal for uneven and challenging terrain. Operator comfort and efficiency are prioritized with a cab that tilts up to 20 degrees for improved high-angle visibility, a heated air-suspension seat, climate control, and integrated camera systems offering views of the hoist, rear, and right side. Power comes from a robust Cummins 8.67-liter Tier 4 Final diesel engine, while hydraulically extendable and retractable tracks, along with frame-mounted jacks, enhance on-site maneuverability.

The crane’s lifting capability is further boosted by an additional 90% pinning location on the boom sections and a high-strength 26-mm wire rope, enabling a maximum single-line pull of 29,765 pounds. Setup is streamlined with hydraulically installed counterweights, multiple tool and storage boxes, and other user-friendly features. Weighing in at 340,900 pounds, the GHC200 significantly surpasses its predecessor, the GHC140, which features a 140-ton capacity and a 171-foot boom.

The Grove GHC200 solidifies Manitowoc’s commitment to delivering innovative lifting solutions tailored for the evolving needs of the construction and energy industries.
