Maruti Suzuki Expands EV Charging Network Nationwide
Maruti Suzuki partners with 13 CPOs to expand EV charging access, launches the ‘e for me’ app, and begins a nationwide ‘e drive’ to showcase its growing EV ecosystem.

New Delhi- Maruti Suzuki India Limited., has announced a landmark expansion of its electric mobility ecosystem with the signing of collaboration agreements with 13 Charge Point Operators (CPOs) and aggregators. The historic event was attended by Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, and Mr. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, along with senior executives from partner CPOs. This strategic partnership marks a significant leap in strengthening the nationwide EV charging infrastructure and reinforces Maruti Suzuki’s commitment to delivering a seamless ownership experience for its future EV customers.
Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi said, the company’s dedication to providing a delightful ownership journey backed by trust and convenience. He highlighted that Maruti Suzuki is fully geared for the EV era, having already established more than 2,000 exclusive charging points across over 1,100 cities. With the new collaborations, customers will gain access to an extensive nationwide charging network. Aligned with Suzuki’s global vision of sustainable mobility, Maruti Suzuki aims to introduce multiple EV models and expand its charging ecosystem to over 1 lakh charging points across India by 2030 through joint efforts with dealers and CPO partners.
Mr. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, stated that this development marks the beginning of a new phase for India’s EV landscape. He noted that Maruti Suzuki is now EV-ready with a comprehensive charging platform designed to address all major concerns related to electric vehicle usage. Leveraging its unmatched dealer network and the collective infrastructure of partner CPOs, the company is ensuring EV charging points are available every 5–10 kilometres in the top 100 cities. He added that DC fast chargers are strategically positioned along major highways to enable long-distance, hassle-free EV travel. Maruti Suzuki has also trained a specialized EV workforce of 1.5 lakh professionals and prepared over 1,500 service workshops across 1,100 cities to deliver complete after-sales support.
To demonstrate the strength and readiness of this charging ecosystem, Maruti Suzuki has also announced the launch of a nationwide “e drive.” As part of this initiative, four e VITARA Born EVs have been flagged off from Gurugram, each heading to one of the four corners of India — Srinagar in the North, Kanyakumari in the South, Dibrugarh in the East, and Bhuj in the West. This drive aims to showcase the real-world feasibility of cross-country EV travel and reinforce customer confidence in the robustness of the Maruti Suzuki charging platform.
The company has additionally introduced its dedicated EV charging mobile application, “e for me,” which will serve as a unified interface for using Maruti Suzuki’s own chargers as well as those operated by partner CPOs. The app enables users to locate chargers, initiate and pay for charging sessions, and manage both public and smart home chargers. It also offers an integrated Tap N Charge card, infotainment system mirroring, remote charger control, and UPI-based payments through Maruti Suzuki Money powered by Razorpay. From the moment a customer books the e VITARA, the app will guide them through home charger installation and optimal charging usage.
Complementing this extensive ecosystem, the Made-in-India e VITARA Born EV stands as a globally benchmarked product tested over more than 1 crore kilometres across extreme temperatures ranging from -30°C to 60°C and diverse terrains from sand to snow. Delivering a range of 543 kilometres*, the e VITARA reflects Maruti Suzuki’s commitment to offering world-class electric vehicles supported by a resilient and customer-friendly EV infrastructure. Together with the “e for me” platform, it sets a new standard for EV ownership in India and beyond.
