Iowa, USA - Maschio Gaspardo., an agricultural equipment manufacturer, has acquired a stake in Lynx AG., a no-till seeding technology company. Alongside the investment, Maschio Gaspardo has established a new joint venture, Maschio Gaspardo USA Inc., which will be headquartered in Iowa and focus on developing and manufacturing large-format precision planters for the North American market.
The Lynx AG partnership enables Maschio Gaspardo to strengthen its presence in North America’s large-scale farming market. Founded in 2013, Lynx is known for precision ag innovation and builds what is likely the world’s largest strip-till machine, 20 meters wide with 36 rows and a dual 24-ton fertilizer tank. It also operates a test farm to validate equipment in real-world conditions.
Mr. Mirco Maschio, President of Maschio Gaspardo S.p.A., said, “This move aligns perfectly with our strategic plan and embodies our vision of being a global technology partner for the agriculture of tomorrow. By strengthening our presence in North America, we bring our heritage of values, passion and engineering, because only through strategic collaborations can we grow sustainably.”
The joint venture will launch new precision planters based on Maschio Gaspardo’s Chrono technology. The Chrono 800, with seven patents, delivers high-speed planting over 15 km/h using pneumatic seed delivery, ISOBUS connectivity, and advanced electronics—combining performance and Italian design.
Mr. Lance Glendenning, CEO of Lynx AG LLC, said, “We are thrilled to join forces with Maschio Gaspardo. Together, we’ll build a new generation of planters, where European design quality meets the practicality and resilience required by American agriculture.”
The new company will serve customers through the dealer networks of both Maschio Gaspardo and Lynx, offering a comprehensive lineup of large-scale planting solutions designed for U.S. agronomic conditions. The joint venture is already operational and focused on accelerating product development and market delivery.
