MaxiTRANS announces rebrand and name change to Freighter Group

Wendouree, Australia- MaxiTRANS, a trailer manufacture, has announce its rebranding as Freighter Group. This change includes a new logo and visual identity designed to reflect the company’s expansive history, transformation journey and future vision.

Mr. Greg L’Estrange Freighter Group Executive Chairman, said, “We set about embarking on a significant transformation journey when we purchased the trailer business, with the aim of creating a new era for the future of the company and the trailer manufacturing industry in Australia.”

“The journey started with a $50m investment into our Ballarat site. This investment has seen the introduction of a range of state-of-the-art equipment and an expansion of the overall footprint of the facility, transforming it into a modern manufacturing environment. The completion of the upgrade puts the business in a position to be able to continue to evolve with the changing needs of our customers long into the future.”

Freighter Group held a successful event in Ballarat on October 8, drawing a large turnout of customers, suppliers, and industry representatives. The company showcased its upgraded facility, highlighting advancements in trailer manufacturing in Australia.

"We were thrilled by the attendance and to share how we're transforming the industry to enhance manufacturing capabilities and efficiencies for our customers," said Greg.

During the event, Freighter Group announced a significant change: it will officially rebrand from MaxiTRANS to Freighter Group starting today.

This is a new era for our business. Changing our name to Freighter Group better reflects who we are as a business and our vision for the future. As the preeminent trailer brand in Australia, Freighter has a rich history with origins extending back to 1946 and has continued to build a strong reputation within the industry since its introduction.

Freighter Group is unveiling its new brand identity, reflecting our commitment to our Vision: “Freight it for Life.” This name change signals our dedication to supporting customers throughout the lifecycle of our products.

We’re excited to introduce the Freez-R, our latest refrigerated trailer designed in partnership with Schmitz Cargobull, featuring advanced Ferroplast technology for superior thermal performance and reliability. The Freez-R also comes equipped with TrailerConnect telematics as standard, enhancing our modern digital service offerings.

Additionally, Freighter Group is now providing spare parts for all its OEM products, moving away from our previous agreement with MaxiPARTS. Customers can contact local dealers for their spare parts needs. We’re also launching Hitcher Parts, an extensive range of quality trailer parts designed for durability and performance.

Our new Ready Range of trailers offers pre-engineered solutions to simplify the ordering process, making us more competitive and efficient.
