Morris, Pennsylvania - MEC Construction LLC., a construction solutions provider, has expanded its MAX Series lineup with the launch of the new 66-RJ diesel telescopic boom lift, a robust and versatile machine built for high-reach applications. Designed for demanding construction and industrial environments, the 66-RJ brings enhanced performance, precision, and productivity to the jobsite.
The 66-RJ features MEC’s 6-foot (1.9 m) multi-directional jib with 135° vertical articulation, 120° horizontal rotation, and 180° platform rotation. This flexibility allows operators to work around obstacles with ease and reduces the need to reposition the chassis, enhancing efficiency on complex job sites.
The 66-RJ delivers a working height of 72 feet (22.2 meters), with a horizontal outreach of 56 feet (17 meters). Weighing 28,528 pounds (12,701 kilograms), it supports a dual lift capacity, 900 pounds (408 kilograms) in restricted mode and 600 pounds (272 kilograms) in unrestricted mode, accommodating multiple workers, tools, and materials across a broad working range. Its jib is engineered for stability and strength, even at full extension, maintaining performance without compromise.
Engineered for challenging terrain and tight spaces, the 66-RJ features 2-Wheel Steer, 4-Wheel "Round" Steer, and "Crab" Steering, offering flexible movement options for accurate machine positioning. Its 4-wheel drive system includes locking differential axles, a 7-degree oscillating axle, and foam-filled rough terrain tires, delivering excellent traction on uneven surfaces and supporting up to 45 percent gradeability.
Operators benefit from MEC’s user-friendly controls, designed to align with industry standards, ensuring confident and precise operation from setup through final positioning.
Mr. Brian MacFarland, Executive vice president of MEC, said, “The 66-RJ further demonstrates MEC's commitment to innovation and practical design. It expands our boom offering with a full-featured solution ready for the most demanding construction and industrial job sites.”
With the addition of the 66-RJ, MEC continues to raise the bar in high-reach equipment, offering enhanced capability, safety, and jobsite adaptability in one powerful machine.
