Annecy, France - Groupe Mecalac S.A.S., a heavy construction machinery manufacturer, has introduced its MR50 and MR60 tiltrotators for the North American market, expanding attachment options for its compact excavator range used in urban construction, utilities, landscaping, sewer and water applications.

The MR50 tiltrotator is available for the 9MWR and 11MWR wheeled excavators and the 10MCR crawler-skid excavator. The MR60 is offered for the 15MWR wheeled excavator and 15MC crawler excavator. Both models feature Mecalac’s twin CONNECT coupling system, enabling compatibility with other Mecalac work tools.

The fully integrated system places the tiltrotator between two CONNECT quick couplers and includes a grading bucket designed to match the machine and attachment setup. The MR50 and MR60 provide 360-degree rotation in both directions and 40-degree tilt to the left and right, allowing operators to use a wide range of attachments, including hydromechanical tools such as grapples.

According to Mecalac, the system allows operators to detach the tiltrotator when it is not required and quickly switch to another attachment, such as a loader bucket, improving flexibility on job sites. The company said the tiltrotator is robust and delivers strong torque while remaining lightweight, helping preserve machine power.

Mr. Manny Mendez, national sales and service manager of Mecalac North America, said, “The twin-coupler mounting solution further improves the versatility and productivity of Mecalac excavators by allowing operators to remove either the tool or the full tiltrotator system and resume work with a 4-in-1 or standard loader bucket.”

The MR50 and MR60 tiltrotator options include dedicated multi-function joysticks, different configurations and settings, a “Home” return-to-position function and a “Bucket Shake” pulse function for even material spreading. The tiltrotators are also available with or without a grab module, which allows operators to grip and move objects while keeping the tool mounted.
