Pune - Mercedes-Benz Group AG., a multinational automotive company, is set to launch the AMG CLE 53 in India by late 2025. Revealed in December 2023, the AMG CLE 53 features enhanced styling and performance improvements over the outgoing E 53 coupe. While Mercedes offers the CLE 53 in both coupe and convertible versions internationally, it remains unclear which variant will make the way to India.
The AMG styling includes a Panamericana radiator grille, sleek LED headlamps with DRLs and blue illumination at the base. A front skirt, rising toward the center, accommodates a large air intake for improved airflow. Smaller air intakes with two horizontal fins surround it, while a long bonnet and raked windshield enhance the car's stance.
The AMG CLE 53 features flared wheel arches with 58mm wider front and 75mm wider rear tracks compared to the standard CLE. It offers 19-inch and 20-inch alloy wheels, with the larger size optional. At the rear, the two-part LED taillights are joined by a darkened element, and the bumper integrates four exhausts within the rear diffuser.
The AMG CLE 53 packs a 3.0L twin-turbo straight-six with a 48V mild-hybrid system, delivering up to 449hp and 600Nm in Overboost mode. Paired with a 9-speed gearbox and 4Matic, it accelerates from 0-100kph in 4.2 seconds (4.4s for the Cabriolet) and tops out at 250kph, extendable to 270kph with the AMG Performance Package.
