Helsinki, Finland - Metsjo AB., has introduced the MetaFlex 40–60 Hook-Lift Trailer, marking the next stage in the development of flexible and efficient transport solutions. The new EU type-approved hook-lift trailer is engineered to deliver a strong yet lightweight design combined with advanced functionality for modern agricultural and contracting applications.
Central to the MetaFlex 40–60 is a 1,050 mm telescopic tower that enables compatibility with a wide range of container types while ensuring optimal weight transfer to the tractor. This configuration results in a compact, well-balanced trailer with excellent stability and maneuverability during operation.
The trailer features a telescopic tipping system that provides fast tipping performance while keeping the unladen weight to just 3,100 kg. This lightweight construction contributes to improved fuel efficiency and reduced ground pressure, without compromising load capacity.
Designed to handle container lengths from 4 to 6 meters, the MetaFlex 40–60 is optimized for 5.2-meter roll containers. It is equipped with hydraulic suspension and chassis leveling of up to 35 cm, along with laser-aligned axles to ensure precision, comfort, and reliability even in challenging terrain. Standard specifications include a tipping force of 17 tonnes and a hooking force of 18 tonnes, as well as hydraulic shifting between tipping and loading modes and a hydraulic support leg.
A front hitch with adjustable drawbar height comes as standard, allowing easy adaptation to different tractor types, wheel sizes, and working conditions. The MetaFlex 40–60 is EU type-approved for both 40 km/h and 60 km/h operation and is fully compatible with European standard containers. With a gross vehicle weight of 20 tonnes and the option of a steering rear axle, the MetaFlex 40–60 offers a compact, versatile, and high-performance hook-lift trailer solution for today’s transport demands.
