Mumbai/Gurugram – Michelin., the global leader in tyre technology, has strengthened its retail footprint in India with the launch of two new Michelin Tyre and Service (MTS) stores in Mumbai and Gurugram. The expansion is part of the company’s strategy to enhance customer access to premium tyres and world-class service across key urban markets.
In Mumbai, Michelin inaugurated its largest MTS store in the city, located in Oshiwara, in partnership with Diwan Auto Care. The facility features a 400 sq. ft. showroom for product display and a 3,100 sq. ft. service area equipped with four service bays, two lifts, and advanced Hunter Alignment and Hunter Roadforce wheel balancing systems. Staffed by over 70 trained professionals, the centre aims to provide a premium, technology-driven service experience for customers seeking high-quality mobility solutions.
In Gurugram, Michelin partnered with Vishnu Tyres, one of the city’s most established automotive service providers, to open a new MTS store strategically located opposite the Sohna Bus Stand along the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway. Spread across 1,200 sq. ft., the outlet offers a full range of tyres for premium cars, along with tyre alignment, balancing, and fitting services in a modern, customer-centric environment.
Mr. Shantanu Deshpande, Managing Director of Michelin India, said, “The inauguration of our new touchpoints in Mumbai and Gurugram reflects our focus on expanding our retail network to ensure customers have access to premium tyres and best-in-class service. This milestone aligns with our strengthened manufacturing capabilities in Chennai, enabling us to produce closer to the market while maintaining Michelin’s global quality standards.”
These new stores represent Michelin’s continued investment in India and its partnership-driven approach to retail expansion. By collaborating with Diwan Auto Care and Vishnu Tyres, the company is reinforcing its position as a premium mobility partner of choice for Indian consumers.
