Prague, Czech Republic – Mitas., a brand of Yokohama TWS and a tires manufacturer, has introduced Terraguard, a new VF (Very High Flexion) implement tire range designed to carry higher loads at lower inflation pressures while protecting soil structure and improving field productivity.
The Terraguard tire is engineered to adapt to ground contours while maintaining stable behavior and a consistent footprint across uneven terrain. Its ability to operate efficiently at lower pressures helps distribute weight more evenly, reducing soil compaction and supporting improved soil health during demanding agricultural operations and road transport.
The tire features a square shoulder design that maximizes the contact patch for improved stability, while reinforced sidewalls enhance lateral stability, particularly during transport on roads. A distinctive sawtooth tread pattern further improves performance by delivering balanced rolling efficiency, controlled traction, reduced vibration and reliable operation across a wide range of cultivation tasks.
Mitas said the optimized VF radial construction and tread geometry help reduce rolling resistance, enabling smoother operation and improved energy efficiency during long working hours in the field.
Mr. Roberta D’Agnano, marketing director at Mitas, said, “Modern agricultural operations require implement tires that do more than simply carry weight. With Terraguard, we combined advanced VF technology with a tread design that actively supports efficiency and soil protection.”
The Terraguard range is initially available in VF 295/75R22.5 TL IMP 158D, with additional sizes planned for future release.
