Mitsubishi Fuso and Hino will form Archion, a joint holding company launching April 1, 2026, to drive innovation and sustainable mobility.

Tokyo, Japan- Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation., and Hino Motors Ltd., have officially announced the name of their new joint holding company Archion which is scheduled to begin operations on April 1, 2026. The establishment of Archion follows the final business integration agreement concluded on June 10, 2025,
Significant progress has been made in the integration of the two leading Japanese commercial vehicle manufacturers as they prepare to operate under the new holding company, headquartered in Tokyo. Despite the integration, both Hino Motors and Mitsubishi Fuso will continue to operate as independent brands. Their shared vision “Delivering the Future of Commercial Mobility” focuses on customer-centric innovation, sustainable transport solutions, and long-term industry leadership.
The integration aims to harness substantial synergies through an Integrated Platform Strategy, designed to enhance product performance, broaden portfolios, achieve economies of scale, and increase investment efficiency. This strategic collaboration will streamline production, optimize resources, and accelerate technological development.
Archion will combine both companies’ strengths across research and development, procurement, production, and logistics, with a plan to consolidate production operations in Japan into three major facilities by 2028.

Mr. Satoshi Ogiso, designated CTO of Archion and current CEO of Hino Motors, said, “Our top priority is putting customers at the center of everything we do. Ogiso also emphasized Archion’s role in accelerating the development of CASE technologies Connected, Autonomous, Shared, and Electric mobility leveraging the combined strengths of all four partner companies (Daimler Truck, Toyota, Hino, and Mitsubishi Fuso). He added that Archion will foster a corporate culture rooted in mutual learning, collaboration, and diversity.
