Kawasaki City, Japan- Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation., (MFTBC) has announced the launch of its all-electric light-duty truck, the eCanter, in the United Arab Emirates marking the model’s first introduction in the country and a key milestone in advancing sustainable commercial mobility in the region.
The launch event was held in Dubai in partnership with Al Habtoor Motors, MFTBC’s authorized distributor in the UAE. Customers, partners, and industry stakeholders attended the event, underscoring MFTBC’s commitment to accelerating the shift toward zero-emission solutions for urban logistics and last-mile delivery.
Designed for city-focused operations, the eCanter delivers locally emission-free driving, low noise levels, and reduced operating costs. It is well suited for urban logistics, municipal services, and last-mile transport. With multiple battery configurations and a broad selection of chassis and body variants, the truck can be tailored to a wide range of operational requirements.
Built on MFTBC’s proven light-duty truck platform, the eCanter combines advanced electric driveline technology with smooth acceleration, strong maneuverability, and a comfortable driving environment. The vehicle is also equipped with modern safety and driver-assistance systems to support efficient daily operations and enhance driver confidence.
