A key highlight at the Mitsubishi Fuso booth will be the latest eCanter, which offers expanded applications. They will showcase an eCanter with a tipper body, thanks to the addition of a power takeoff device (ePTO). Alongside it, they'll exhibit a garbage truck with a futuristic design. This electric vehicle produces no exhaust emissions, minimal vibration, and noise, enabling environmentally-friendly and community-friendly work.
eCanter test vehicle with battery swapping technology
MFTBC and Ample Inc., are collaborating on a pilot project involving battery-swapping electric trucks using the latest eCanter model. These trucks will feature modular batteries that can be automatically exchanged at Ample battery swapping stations, aiming for a quick 5-minute swap. The trial of this system on public roads in Japan is scheduled for the upcoming winter. At the JMS 2023 booth, MFTBC and Ample will display the latest eCanter with swappable battery modules and the swapping station.
