Tokyo, Japan- Mitsubishi Motors Corporation., has officially launched the all-new Destinator, a seven-seat midsize SUV, in Indonesia. The vehicle made its debut at the 32nd GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show, with sales set to begin on July 23. Positioned as a global model, the Destinator will also be introduced in other ASEAN markets such as Vietnam and the Philippines, as well as in South Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa. The new SUV is manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Indonesia at its plant in Bekasi, West Java.

Developed under the concept of a “Confidence Booster for Energetic Families,” the Destinator is designed to empower families to explore new destinations comfortably and confidently. Its bold, authentic SUV styling is defined by a commanding presence, sculpted fenders, 18-inch wheels, and a distinctive acrylic front grille inspired by Mitsubishi’s Dynamic Shield design. At the rear, the hexagonal design, drawn from the legendary Pajero’s spare tire motif, emphasizes rugged utility and a wide stance.

Inside, the Destinator features a spacious, three-row cabin designed for comfort and practicality. Premium materials, ample legroom across all rows, a panoramic sunroof, and customizable 64-color ambient lighting create an upscale and family-friendly atmosphere. The SUV is equipped with smart storage solutions, seatback tables, USB ports in every row, and a flexible cargo area with fold-flat second and third rows to accommodate varying passenger and luggage needs.

Technology is a major highlight of the Destinator, with a 12.3-inch Smartphone-link Display Audio (SDA) system paired with an 8-inch digital driver display. The infotainment system controls key features including the sunroof, ambient lighting, and connectivity settings. A Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium eight-speaker system offers an immersive audio experience with selectable sound zones tailored to passenger positions.

Under the hood, the all-new Destinator is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged MIVEC engine delivering 120 kW and 250 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT for smooth and responsive acceleration. Suspension tuning, tailored for ASEAN road conditions, and high ground clearance (214 mm) enhance comfort and confidence over rough terrain. The SUV offers five drive modes—Wet, Tarmac, Normal, Gravel, and Mud—supported by Mitsubishi’s advanced all-wheel control technology to ensure optimal performance across varying road and weather conditions.

Safety and connectivity are key pillars of the Destinator. The vehicle comes equipped with Mitsubishi Safety Sensing, a suite of advanced driver assistance systems including Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Mitigation, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Multi Around Monitor. Structural safety is bolstered by a high-rigidity body and six airbags. Connectivity features include emergency call support, remote air conditioning activation, and vehicle status tracking via smartphone.

With its combination of strong performance, advanced technology, and a spacious, premium interior, the all-new Mitsubishi Destinator is set to become a versatile and reliable companion for families across diverse global markets. The model also highlights Mitsubishi Motors’ continued commitment to Indonesia as a hub for strategic product development and global vehicle production.

The all-new Mitsubishi Destinator is a 2WD, seven-seat midsize SUV measuring 4,680 mm in length with a 2,815 mm wheelbase and 214 mm ground clearance. It’s powered by a 1.5L MIVEC turbocharged engine (120 kW, 250 Nm) paired with a CVT transmission and a 45-liter fuel tank. Suspension includes MacPherson struts (front) and torsion beams (rear), with disc brakes all around. It features 225/55R18 tires, a 5.4 m turning radius, and advanced angles for confident off-road handling.
