Elwood, Indiana - Mongo Attachments LLC., a construction equipment manufacturer, has introduced the ProGrade forestry mulcher line, built for excavators weighing 7,000 to 26,000 pounds.
The mulchers are designed with an offset drum and bite-limiting technology to produce fine material efficiently. According to Mongo, this design helps maintain optimal rotor RPMs while operating with just 15-35 gallons per minute of hydraulic flow. Available in 27-, 35-, and 41-inch widths, these mulchers feature a 6-inch cutting diameter, making them suitable for clearing various vegetation densities.
The drum is designed with non-proprietary teeth and easy-access panels for easier maintenance. Additional features include a reinforced shell for durability, a kickstand, an adjustable back gate, and a mount with a hose kit.
Mr. Adam Drummond, General manager at Mongo Attachments, said, "Our new ProGrade line builds on the success of the Gen 2 forestry mulcher by addressing the evolving needs of operators tackling high-intensity projects. We're not just expanding our product line: We're redefining what's possible in land clearing, while complementing our existing offers."
The ProGrade forestry mulcher line includes three sizes to fit various excavator weights. The 27″ mulcher is designed for 3.5- to 6.5-ton machines, weighing 864 lbs. without the mount and featuring 16 teeth, each secured with two bolts. The 35″ mulcher suits 6.5- to 8-ton machines, weighs 981 lbs. without the mount, and comes with 20 teeth, also secured with two bolts each. The largest option, the 41″ mulcher, is built for 8.5- to 13-ton machines, weighing 1,058 lbs. without the mount and equipped with 24 teeth, each fastened with two bolts.
