Chennai- Montra Electric, the Electric Vehicle division of the Murugappa Group, has strengthened its electric Small Commercial Vehicle portfolio with the launch of two new EVIATOR variants: the EVIATOR 350 and EVIATOR 350L+.
The expansion reflects Montra Electric’s shift toward application-specific electric mobility, offering fleet operators vehicles tailored to real-world logistics requirements, route patterns, payload needs and total cost of ownership.
The EVIATOR range now comes with three battery configurations. The EVIATOR 350, powered by a 32 kWh battery, is designed for last-mile urban logistics and supports daily operations of up to 140 km.
The EVIATOR 350L, equipped with a 40 kWh battery, remains the company’s core model and has already helped Montra Electric achieve over 30% market share in the 3.5-ton electric SCV segment since its 2025 launch.
The newly introduced EVIATOR 350L+ features a 50 kWh battery and is developed for intercity logistics and energy-intensive applications such as refrigerated transport. It delivers a certified range of over 300 km, with more than 200 km expected in real-world operating conditions.
Mr. Jalaj Gupta, Managing Director of Montra Electric, said the next phase of EV adoption will be shaped by how well vehicles align with actual business use cases. Saju Nair, CEO of the e-SCV Division, added that the new variants give operators greater flexibility to choose the right battery capacity for city, regional and intercity routes.
