Varese, Italy- MV Agusta Motor Holding., a motorcycle manufacturer, has launched the stunning Superveloce 1000 AGO, a limited-edition motorcycle created to honour legendary racer Giacomo Agostini on his 83rd birthday. Only 83 units will be produced worldwide, each carrying Agostini’s personal signature on a numbered 18K gold plate mounted on the steering head. This launch marks a celebration of Agostini’s incredible legacy, including 13 World Championships with MV Agusta.
The motorcycle blends retro-inspired design with modern engineering. It features a full carbon fibre fairing, a distinctive #1 race livery, and a custom leather fuel tank strap engraved with “15 Titoli Mondiali” (15 World Titles). Silver-spoked wheels, a smoked windshield, and alcantara seats with Agostini’s name further enhance its classic appeal. Even the ignition key is unique, encased in billet aluminium and housing a brass coin made from one of Agostini’s original trophies.
Underneath the vintage styling is a powerhouse. The Superveloce 1000 AGO is powered by a 998cc inline-four engine that delivers 208 hp at 13,000 rpm and 116.5 Nm of torque, capable of hitting over 300 km/h and sprinting from 0–100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds. A lightweight crankshaft, titanium connecting rods, forged pistons, and an Akrapovič titanium exhaust system ensure track-ready performance.
The bike is built around a high-strength steel trellis frame with aluminium swingarm pivot plates. Suspension duties are handled by Öhlins electronically controlled units, while Brembo Stylema brakes and Continental cornering ABS ensure top-tier stopping power and safety. It also features launch control, front lift control, cruise control, and a quickshifter for seamless riding dynamics.
A 5.5-inch TFT display, smartphone connectivity via the MV Ride app, GPS, and full engine and suspension management make this motorcycle as advanced as it is exclusive. Each unit comes with a collector’s kit, including a certificate of authenticity, a special motorcycle cover, CNC-machined components, and carbon heel guards.
With only 83 units produced globally, the MV Agusta Superveloce 1000 AGO is a collector’s dream fusing timeless style, racing heritage, and high-performance technology into a rolling tribute to one of the sport’s greatest icons.
