Netrasemi has secured Rs 10 crore in pre-series A funding from Unicorn India Ventures to develop machine learning SoCs for Edge AI in IoT devices.

Kerala - Netrasemi., a Kerala-based semiconductor startup, has raised Rs 10 crore in pre-series A funding from Unicorn India Ventures. The funds will support the development of two machine learning SoCs, Netra A2000 and Netra R1000, designed for Edge AI in IoT devices, enabling advanced on-device analytics without cloud or server reliance.
Netrasemi founded by Jyothis Indirabhai, Sreejith Varma, and Deepa Geetha, develops AI/ML-capable system-on-chips (SoCs) for smart IoT products. With a team of 61, they are creating SoCs and reference designs to simplify Edge AI development and address over 100 AI/ML use cases, enhancing speed, affordability, and responsiveness.
In the past year, Netrasemi has received positive feedback from OEMs in the medical, telecom, and industrial sectors, generating $0.75 million in revenue. The company projects 150% growth in fiscal year 2025 and exponential growth from 2027 with the start of volume chip production.
