Turin, Italy - New Holland., an agricultural machinery brand under CNH Industrial N.V., has upgraded across its CX, CH, and TC series straw walker combines and compatible Varifeed headers for the 2026 season, aiming to simplify setup, enhance harvesting productivity, and improve overall operator experience.

      Varifeed Header Enhancements

Varifeed headers introduce a series of enhancements designed to boost harvesting performance and reduce setup time. All models now feature 575 mm of fore-aft knife travel, making them ideal for high-volume crops like rapeseed. A new inline knife drive delivers fully linear output shaft motion for smoother, quieter, and more precise cutting, especially in dense crops and at higher speeds. This replaces the previous belt-drive system with a more reliable gearbox and telescopic shaft, reducing maintenance.

The 12.5m (41ft) and 10.5m (35ft) headers now include a fully synchronized dual knife drive, with the right-hand knife powered via the in-feed auger to minimize vibration. Knife speed has been increased by 11% to 735 rpm, supporting faster forward speeds without compromising cutting quality. A heavy-duty 660 mm reinforced auger improves crop intake, and its two-position height adjustment, high for rapeseed and low for small grains, reduces adjustment time by 75%, from 20 minutes to just five.

Setup is further simplified by a single left-side PTO connection and a new aluminum ‘plug-and-play’ side-knife system that is one-third lighter and can be installed or removed in just five minutes. Additionally, new hydraulically operated gauge wheels can be adjusted between transport and field mode directly from the cab, eliminating the need for manual handling.

      CX5/6 and CH7 Combine Updates

New Holland has introduced several upgrades to its CX5, CX6, and CH7 combines to boost performance and operator convenience. The UltraFlow drum, previously available only on CX6 models, is now offered as an option on CX5 combines. Its staggered design enhances threshing efficiency, reduces fuel consumption, lowers noise, and increases capacity by up to 10%.

A revised Smart Sieve system is now standard on CX5, CX6, and CH7 hybrid models, featuring linked adjustments between the pre-sieve and upper sieve for synchronized operation and quicker setup. Manual adjustment and terrain compensation have also been improved, with easier access from the rear of the machine.

Hillside-specific CX5.90 and CX6.90 models now include new sensors on the powered rear axle and lift system that automatically respond to slope changes by disengaging drive as needed. Additionally, combines equipped with remote deflector chaff spreaders benefit from a new function that automatically moves the deflectors fully to the right and left when threshing is off, preventing blockages and crop build-up. For improved safety and visibility, all European-spec CX5, CX6, and CH7 combines now come with a rear-view camera as standard.

      TC Series Combine Upgrades

TC series combines receive key upgrades to align with advancements in the CX and CH ranges. The Smart Sieve and powered rear axle features will now be available on TC5 models for European markets, enhancing performance and adaptability. Additionally, all models, from the four-walker TC4.90 to the five-walker TC5.90 Hillside, now come standard with a rear-view camera, improving safety and operator awareness. These updates complement recent enhancements such as hinged right-hand cab glass, an air-suspended seat, a compressed air line, and Bluetooth DAB+ radio, further elevating comfort and functionality.

These updates reflect New Holland’s commitment to improving operator convenience, harvest efficiency, and adaptability across a variety of crops and terrains.
