Turin, Italy - New Holland Construction., a construction equipment manufacturer, has introduced the fully electric C314X compact tracked loader, offering a low-noise, zero-emission solution for material handling in sensitive environments. Powered by a 23.5 kWh lithium-ion battery, the prototype machine delivers a rated operating capacity of 460 kg up to a height of 2.2 m, making it ideal for tight spaces and operations near people and animals.
The C314X is the electric evolution of the diesel-powered C314, combining the versatility, performance, and maneuverability of conventional mini track loaders with the advantages of electric drive, including immediate hydraulic response, lower noise, zero emissions, and a smaller carbon footprint. Three electric motors—two for the driveline and one for hydraulics—ensure capabilities comparable to diesel equivalents while reducing total ownership costs through lower maintenance and energy consumption.
The machine features a radial lift boom, two undercarriage options (wide track at 1026 mm and narrow track at 890 mm), and intuitive electro-hydraulic controls for instant operation. Its stand-on platform with ergonomic joysticks allows operators to work comfortably and safely across multiple applications. The C314X supports a wide range of attachments, making it suitable for livestock and horticultural farms, landscaping, and residential construction.
Ms. Francesca Asteggiano, Head of Sales for Construction Brands Europe, said, “We launched the C314 two years ago, and it has become known for its excellent features. Today, we are developing an electric version to meet growing demand for quieter, more compact machines — reinforcing our commitment to sustainability and innovation.”
