Turin, Italy - New Holland Construction., a construction machinery manufacturer, has expanded its electric equipment lineup with the launch of the E25X, a 2.5-metric-ton battery-powered mini excavator designed for compact jobsites, urban projects and indoor applications.
The E25X joins the company’s E15X electric mini excavator and offers zero-emission operation, lower noise levels and reduced maintenance requirements. The machine is aimed at contractors working in noise- and emission-sensitive locations such as hospitals, schools, city centers and enclosed work areas.
The excavator features hydraulically retractable tracks that narrow to 3 feet 3 inches, allowing it to pass through tight access points such as doorways. The tracks can also be expanded by an additional foot to improve stability during operation. Its compact 1.5-foot tailswing overhang supports work in confined spaces.
Designed for versatility, the E25X can operate with buckets, hydraulic hammers, augers and mechanical thumbs. It is suitable for foundation work, utility installation, demolition and general construction tasks. An optional Object Handling Kit adds a lift hook to support suspended load handling.
The E25X offers a maximum digging depth of 8 feet and a dump height of 8 feet 8 inches. With the optional long-arm configuration, dump height and digging depth increase to 9 feet 1 inch.
Powered by a 102-volt lithium-ion battery with 32.2 kWh capacity, the machine delivers an estimated runtime of four to eight hours depending on application. Charging from 0% to 100% takes around nine hours, while a 20% to 80% charge can be completed in about five hours using the onboard 240-volt single-phase charging system.
The E25X comes standard with a ROPS open canopy, while an enclosed cab with optional heating is also available.
