New Holland PowerStar tractors offer new transmissions, upgraded loaders, and advanced engines, powered by a 3.7L FPT engine.
Date: February 22, 2025Turin, Italy - New Holland., a brand of CNH Industrial and an agricultural equipment manufacturer, has introduced the next generation of its PowerStar series utility tractors, featuring four models with new transmission options, upgraded loaders, and advanced engine technology. The lineup includes the PowerStar 90, 100, 110, and 120, all powered by an FPT Industrial 3.7-liter four-cylinder engine with a 3.4-gallon DEF tank.
The latest PowerStar tractors feature Compact HI-eSCR 2 emissions-reduction technology, now placed under the hood for higher torque, improved efficiency, and an engine boost of up to 5 horsepower. A new U-shaped exhaust has also been added. All models meet European Stage V and U.S. Tier 4 Final emission standards. Additionally, the PowerClutch button on the handle allows operators to shift gears without using the clutch pedal, enhancing ease of operation.
Mr. Lena Patton, North American Product Marketing Manager at New Holland, said, “We know our customers are seeking solutions that help them reduce their fuel costs. While these engines still utilize common rail fuel injection technology like our previous models, we’ve also improved performance and optimized fuel consumption further with a longer stroke and more displacement.”
The three largest PowerStar models offer an optional 12x12 transmission with a column-mounted electronic power shuttle for seamless shifting. All four models can be upgraded to the 24x24 Dual Command transmission, which includes the same features as the 12x12 but adds a Hi-Lo speed in all four gears. Both transmissions now feature Dynamic Start-Stop mode, reducing operator fatigue by allowing users to stop with the brake pedal and resume driving by simply releasing it.
The new PowerStar tractors now come with factory-installed LU Series front loaders, offering improved lifting capacity, greater lift height, and faster cycle times. Available options include the non-self-leveling 650LU, the mechanical-self-leveling 655LU, and a skid-steer-style quick-attach faceplate, which can be fitted with a third function diverter valve for running attachments.
